MB generously hands out ‘ang pows’, oranges to Chinese community for Chinese New Year

GOMBAK, Jan 15 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari spent time greeting the Chinese community around Pasar Pagi Selayang Baru and Pasar Awam Seri Gombak this morning.

He also took the opportunity to distribute oranges and ‘ang pows’ (red packets) to traders and visitors at both markets in conjunction with Chinese New Year.

In addition to being sociable, Amirudin, who is also Gombak MP, obliged the public who were excited to take pictures with him.

Earlier, he also took the time to have breakfast at Nasi Lemak Albab Restaurant, Jalan Selayang Baru.

The Sungai Tua state assemblyman had breakfast with community leaders and residents, in addition to meeting the people around the Sungai Tua state constituency.
