AMPANG, SEP 29: Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) is offering parking coupons worth RM10 to those who pay their fines.
MPAJ Yang Dipertua Abd Hamid Hussain said this step is taken to promote its coupon parking system.
“If they are fined and pay RM30, they will get two RM5 coupon-books, which means we return RM10 in the form of parking coupons.
“Up til now, RM18,175 have been successfully collected,” he said at a media conference after the MPAJ Full Assembly meeting at the Menara MPAJ on September 29.
He said the public should not miss this offer beginning September 15 until October 31.
When speaking on the new coupon parking system, Abd Hamid said that so far, 292 coupon-books have been sold by 216 selected agents.
“Amongst our biggest agents are 99 Speed Mart, 7-Eleven and Petronas stations. The public can purchase the coupons there,” he added.
