Smart Selangor visits Huawei and ZTE in China

SHAH ALAM, SEP 30: The Smart Selangor delegation made a working visit to the headquarters of telecommunication companies, Huawei and ZTE Corporation in China recently.
Education, Human Capital Development, Science, Technology and Innovation Exco Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said that it enabled the state government delegation to see the Smart City concept directly.
“It also gives a chance for Selangor to learn and share experiences with big telecommunication companies like Huawei and ZTE.
“We also can implement several smart solutions in Selangor,” he told SelangorKini.

The five-day visit began on September 25 and lasted till September 29 and focused on Shenzhen which is the home of both international telecommunications and IT companies.
The delegation also paid a courtesy call to the Shenzhen administration office and was greeted by Deputy Mayor Wu Yihan.
In addition, the delegation had the opportunity to view the Smart City concept implemented throughout the Yinchuan province.

Yinchuan is an isolated province in the Ninxia autonomous area that began implementing the Smart city concept since 2013.
The Smart City network in Yinchuan is the best in the world and can be an example in various sectors including administration, health, security, transport and traffic.
Also present were Selangor state secretariat Deputy Dato’ Mazalan Mohd Nor, Selangor Islamic Council Secretary Dato’ Bahtiar Hussin, Information Technology Division Secretary Fazlina Hashim and Town and Country Planning Department Director Muhammad Ridzuan Arshad.
