SHAH ALAM, OCT 11: The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has criticized the irresponsible party that has been circulating an advertisement, which has been tempered with, in its area.
The original copy ‘Pilih Sihat. Dapatkan Ganjaran’ which has modified to ‘Pilih Sihat. Dapatkan Ganja’ has created some misunderstanding in the community.
“The Council strongly condemns the action of this irresponsible party who have caused this misunderstanding and tarnished the Council’s reputation.
“MBPJ hopes that the public will not be easily misled and spread the image with the belief that the council could approve such an ad,” MBPJ posted on its Facebook account.
It seems that the ad was approved by MBPJ earlier based on conditions set by the State Government.
However, the copies were tempered with recently, which ultimately created an unpleasant situation when it was circulated.
Ghandi Miv is among the social network users who demanded the individual who intentionally created the provocation to be brought to justice and penalised accordingly.
“The irresponsible party should be brought to justice as a lesson for him not to repeat his immoral action and for others not to do the same,” he said.
Any placement or modification of advertisement is legislated under the Advertisement By-laws (7) 2007.
