Japan mission strengthens Smart State agenda

SHAH ALAM, NOV 24: Selangor is strengthening regional cooperation with Japan through a State Government and Invest Selangor investment mission to Tokyo in order to further develop the Smart Selangor agenda.
Dato’ Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, together with the State Government delegation, including Investment, Small & Medium Industries, Trade and Transport Exco Dato’ Teng Chang Khim, arrived in Tokyo on November 24.
The delegation began their work visit at Fujisawa to see first-hand the development of a smart city being applied to the area.
Posting on his Facebook account, Mohamed Azmin said Fujisawa’s development could be consistently translated in Selangor.
“Street lights and surveillance equipment that are used as crime detection methods and are able to secure the peace of the local community are simply amazing and can be seriously considered in Selangor.

“The implementation of this method through the execution of the Smart Selangor initiative can be done practically in Selangor, he posted.
The State Government has previously developed the Smart Selangor agenda through regional investment relations with other countries.
The effectiveness is capable of increasing competitive economic growth that is sustainable, in line with the hopes of turning Selangor into a smart state focused on using technology as a key enabler.
