Water disruption in Meru, Syabas distributes alternative supply

SHAH ALAM, MAY 19: The cleaning and upgrading of the water supply system at the North Hummock Balancing Tank, Klang was completed since 8 p.m. last night.
However, at 5 a.m. this morning, a leakage was detected at a pipe close to the North Hummock Water Treatment Plant.
Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) is its statement today said that the repair work is being undertaken and alternative water supply have been distributed to the areas affected from the Lam Bee Pond.
Following that, several premises at the end of the water distribution system and on high lands might experience temporary water disruption.

“These areas include some parts of Jalan Meru Industrial Area, Taman Meru Utama, Taman Mesra Meru, Pekan Meru, Pekan Meru 2, Taman Bayu Meru, Taman Daya Maju and Taman Seri Meru,” said Syabas.
The statement also informed that assistance is provided with alternative water supplied with water-tankers to affected areas.
“Consumers can request for water supply assistance by sending SMS to 15300 (Type Tanker&lt:space>Name&Address)
“Updates status on the pipe repair work can be obtained from www.syabas.com.my or smartphone application at ‘mySyabas’, it said.
