BY HAFIZAN TAIB
BANTING, JUNE 30: The Kuala Langat District Council (MDKL) has maintained its excellence when it emerged as one of the local authority who managed to achieve the 2016 Sustainable City Award.
Its Yang Dipertua, Mohamad Zain A Hamid said that was among the best achievement it has received and they are committed to give the best service to the community, in line with the State Government’s agenda.
“This achievement is the result of the hard work from everyone in MDKL in maintaining the success it achieved before, in fulfilling the needs of the community and relevant parties here,” he said to SelangorKini.
At the same time, he said, the success also proves MDKL’s strong commitment to achieve its target to become a Municipal Council.
“It will surely motivate all MDKL’s employees to be fully dedicated in the effort to enhance service quality.
“We will continue to work to achieve greater success in the future,” he said.
MDKL achieved the award last year under the Malaysian Sustainable City Quantifying Programme by the Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT).
That achievement is one of its plan in the 2016 – 2020 MDKL Strategic Plan towards “Kuala Langat Perbandaran Maju, Dinamik, Lestari dan Terbilang Menjelang 2020”.
