SHAH ALAM, April 15 — Selangor saw a decline in new Covid-19 positive cases today, with a total of 17, in comparison to the 50 daily cases recorded on Tuesday, according to the Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 (STFC).
The total tally in the state is now at 1,316 out of the total 5,072 cases recorded nationwide.
“Fifty cases were recorded on Tuesday and today we have 17 new cases. This is good and in fact, the registered number of Covid-19 recoveries today is almost twice the daily recorded cases,” the task force said on Twitter today.
Earlier today, Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said as of noon today, 169 patients have fully recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,647 or 52.2 per cent of the total cases.
This makes it the third consecutive day where the number of recoveries exceeded the number of new cases.
