SHAH ALAM, April 26 — One coronavirus-linked death was recorded in Selangor yesterday, bringing the total deaths in the state to 15.
However, the state saw a drop in daily cases with only one case recorded, compared to the 18 cases registered on Friday.
The Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 (STFC) said although the areas categorised as red and yellow zones are under control, the people should not take it for granted.
“There are reports that people in the green zone are taking it easy with the MOC (movement control order).
“(But) we do not know if there are asymptomatic carriers within our communities,” the task force said on Twitter last night.
According to the data produced by the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre of the Selangor State Health Department, the state has one township classified as a red zone, which is Hulu Langat with 64 active Covid-19 cases.
The remaining red zone districts in the state based on active cases are Hulu Langat with 100 cases, Petaling (63), and Klang (44).
A total of 28 townships are grouped as green zones with zero active cases.
There are 252 active cases in Selangor out of the total tally of 1,388. A total of 1,108 patients have fully recovered from the infection.
