129 remaining flood victims in Johor

JOHOR BAHRU, June 29 — The number of flood victims still in temporary evacuation centres (PPS) in the state continue to drop this morning with only 129 people from 35 families, compared to 145 from 40 families at noon yesterday.

Chairman of the state Health and Environment Committee, R.Vidyananthan said all the victims have been placed in two PPS in Muar, namely Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Seri Menanti and SK Orang Kaya Ali.

“SK Seri Menanti has 80 people from 22 families from Kampung Seri Menanti while SK Orang Kaya Ali has 49 victims from 13 families from Kampung Sungai Sarang Buaya,” he said in a statement here today.
