SHAH ALAM, June 10 — The standard operating procedure (SOP) on the reopening of several business sectors in Selangor will be issued after a discussion is held with the state local authorities today.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said this was following the guidelines provided by the National Security Council (NSC) on its official Telegram platform last night.

“Tomorrow (today) we will meet with the local authorities to discuss the implementation of the SOP,” he said on his official Twitter last night.

Earlier, Amirudin said the state administration had yet to receive the guidelines for barbershops, hair salons and sports activities from Putrajaya, that would be implemented during the recovery movement control order (RMCO) effective today until August 31.

He had on Monday said that the Selangor government would scrutinise the guidelines and discuss the matter with local authorities before allowing the sectors to resume operation.

On Saturday, Senior Minister (security cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob had announced that hair and beauty salons are allowed to operate beginning June 10.

This includes the reopening of markets, morning markets, night markets and bazaars as well as several indoor and outdoor activities from June 15.
