SHAH ALAM, Dec 8 — The Jelajah Usahawan Digital Selangor outreach programme has returned after its third series held on September 19, featuring a 4-in-1 course conducted virtually on December 9, 10 and 17.

In a statement yesterday, the Selangor Information Technology and E-Commerce Council (Sitec) said the Jelajah Usahawan Digital Selangor 2020: Virtual Series will be held via Zoom in compliance with the conditional movement control order.

“The 4-in-1 course is designed to cater to entrepreneurs’ needs to balance their busy schedule while at the same time gaining a satisfactory outcome from digital learning,” the statement read.

Sitec said the course, which will be conducted in English, will feature Digital Marketing Consultancy Sdn Bhd chief executive officer and Digital Marketing Association of Malaysia president Charles Gregory, who has developed over 20 digital marketing courses and is also a multiple awards winner.

It said Gregory will also be touching on ‘Generating Leads Using Google’, ‘Facebook Marketing’ as well as ‘Live Commerce’ and a free consultation will be provided after the course.

The event will be launched by state executive councillor for entrepreneur development Rodziah Ismail.

The Jelajah Usahawan Digital Selangor, a state government initiative through Invest Selangor and Sitec, aims at helping traditional brick and mortar micro and small and medium businesses (SMEs) who want to venture into e-commerce.

The programme converts the traditional classroom style e-commerce class to an on-site event and is a platform for local entrepreneurs to gain new knowledge related to digital businesses.

“Learn, unlearn, and relearn is the way forward to survive in the 21st century. It is also the same for businesses.

“Hence, mastering e-commerce and digitalisation is essential for a business’ success especially under the current Covid-19 pandemic,” said Sitec chief executive Yong Kai Ping.
