SHAH ALAM, Jan 14 — The public has been urged to get used to living in the new norm even after the pandemic is over.
State executive councillor for housing and urban wellbeing, and entrepreneur development Rodziah Ismail said the thought of it is difficult to conceive but when practised in a disciplined manner, everyone will get used to it.
“Even when we are just staying at home, normal activities can still be carried out and we can still deal with other people,” she said.
Rodziah also highlighted the meaning of the slogan “kita jaga kita”, which means the society must learn to help one another.
“We must observe the environment around us, such as our neighbourhood, if there is anyone whose income is affected by the movement control order (MCO), we must try and help them,” she added.
On Monday, the Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced the implementation of the MCO which covers three stages over the next two weeks starting from yesterday.
The MCO is enforced in Selangor, Penang, Federal Territories (Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan), Melaka, Johor and Sabah.
