SHAH ALAM, Jan 31 — Selangor Agriculture Development Corporation (PKPS) conducts comprehensive post-mortem every week to improve its Selangor Agro Market Truck programme.

PKPS Marketing Institution Development Top Senior Manager Siti Noor Lianna Misli said the discussions with its strategic partners included identifying locations for its next stop.

“If possible, we want to expand this programme to cover the whole of Selangor and operates it every day, so that there will be no issue of interruption of food supply, but the selection of locations is important based on the need.

“Furthermore PKPS also intends to create an entrepreneurship programme for individuals who lost their jobs and owns the right vehicle to operate this service,” she said at the fresh produce sale programme from PKPS Prihatin farms here yesterday.

She said sales from the grocery-on-wheels concept service received an encouraging response with the locals queuing up as early as 7.30am to buy the fresh food items.

“We see the needs and demands of the community are very high, so this initiative is important to them. I am moved by the cooperation of the local elected representatives who helped in making this happen,” said Siti Noor Lianna.

The PKPS mobile market was held at Medan Selera Seksyen 7, Shah Alam on January 15, and moved to Pandan Indah, Ampang on January 24 and will continue to Section 16 and Section 24, in Shah Alam next week and is open from 8am to 1pm.
