Report illegal dumping activity, get cash reward — MPS

SHAH ALAM, Feb 10 — Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) is offering a RM350 cash reward to any individuals who report illegal dumping activities in areas under its jurisdiction.

Its president Shamsul Shahril Badliza Mohd Noor said the action was taken to help local authority fight and curb the irresponsible activity.

“To encourage the community to become the eyes and ear of the local authority, individuals who report illegal dumping activity to MPS will be rewarded.

“But provided that information helps in the arrest of the culprits,” he said in a statement today.

Last year, a total of 22 illegal dumping sites were successfully detected by MPS and 57 compounds were issued.
