Over 40 pct of adults in Selangor fully vaccinated

SHAH ALAM, Aug 11 — A total of 2.01 million people in Selangor or 42.2 per cent of the adult population in the state, have completed two doses of Covid-19 vaccines as of today (August 11).

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said 5.65 million doses had been administered in the state via the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).

Out of the total, 3.64 million or 76.7 per cent have received their first jab.

“Meanwhile, an additional 266,069 doses of vaccine were administered under the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax),” he said on Twitter.

Earlier today, the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) shared in an infographic on Twitter stating the recorded daily vaccination rate in Selangor as of August 10 is at 102,819 out of the total 357,981 doses of vaccines administered nationwide.
