KLANG, Oct 26 — All initiatives by the state government in assisting the rakyat is based on justice for all races and society, said Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said since being given the chance to rule the state in 2008, the main policy of the state government is not to use skin colour, groups or communities when making decisions.

“We want to see all layers of society live together, and enjoy advanced developments which have been dreamed of.

“In the 12 years of administrating the state government, this is the formula that binds us and Selangorians with closer ties, without mentioning the majority of any particular race,” Amirudin said during the launch of Jelajah Deepavali KEADILAN Selangor at the Sentosa community service centre yesterday,

He cited several of the initiatives implemented by the state government, including the Skim Mesra Usia Emas, Kasih Ibu Smart Selangor, and Kad Peduli Sihat.

“All of these do not look at race or skin colour as the basis of difference. We also focus on the needs of schools such as religious and vernacular schools.

“We also prepared allocations to develop mosques and suraus, as well as create policies via the Selangor Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Sikh, and Taoist Special Committee, which looks at questions pertaining to kuil and houses of worship ownership,” Amirudin said.
