Air Selangor: Almost 60 pct of water supply restored

SHAH ALAM, Dec 21 — Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) informed that the restoration of water supply in the affected areas in the Petaling, Hulu Langat, and Kuala Lumpur regions has reached 59 per cent, as of 4pm today.

It said the water supply restoration at Petaling has reached 100 per cent, while in Hulu Langat it is 75 per cent and Kuala Lumpur at 35 per cent.

Air Selangor added it is now actively distributing reverse osmosis (RO) water to affected areas during this unscheduled water supply disruption, one of which is Sungai Lui in Hulu Langat.

Several areas in Petaling, Hulu Langat, and Kuala Lumpur are experiencing unscheduled water disruptions following the shutdown of four water treatment plants (WTPs) due to rising water levels and the emergency electricity closure on December 19.
