eCCRISS registration is now digital — BNM

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 18 — Malaysian individual new users may now directly register for electronic Central Credit Reference Information System (eCCRIS) online without the need to walk into a Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) or Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency (AKPK) office effective today.

Bank Negara deputy governor Marzunisham Omar said these enhancements make it more convenient and safer for individual users to register for eCCRIS and have access to their CCRIS reports at home.

He said the new users have to make a RM1 online transfer to a designated BNM account via Internet banking, with the RM1 automatically refunded within two working days upon registration.

“This step allows for the identities of individuals to be confirmed digitally, taking away the need for physical verification,” he said in a statement today.

The registration for eCCRIS can be made at eccris.bnm.gov.my.

Meanwhile, for companies and non-Malaysian individuals, new user registrations can continue to be performed through eLINK at telelink.bnm.gov.my.

For further information on CCRIS and eCCRIS, the public can visit bnm.gov.my/ccris or reach BNMTELELINK at 1-300-88-5465 or 603-2174 1717 (overseas).

Live Chat function also available at bnm.gov.my/livechat.
