Kanching waterfall reopens this Saturday — Tourism Selangor

SHAH ALAM, March 24 — Tourism Selangor has announced the reopening of Kanching Eco Forest Park to visitors starting on March 26.

The agency said the park, previously closed to upgrade its facilities, now charges a new entrance fee.

“The entrance fee from Monday to Friday is RM2 for Malaysian citizens and RM8 for non-Malaysian citizen.

“On Saturday and Sunday the fee is RM3 for Malaysian citizens and while the fee for non-Malaysian citizens remains the same,” it said in a statement.

Tourism Selangor added that Kanching Eco Forest Park is open from 8am to 5pm every day.

“However visitors are not permitted to remain in the area after operating hours,” it said.

Visitors must comply with guidelines and the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the National Security Council (NSC).

Among the SOPs are:

• Only individuals with “Low Risk” and “Casual Contact Low Risk” status are allowed to enter, and must show a vaccination card or digital vaccination certificate showing their completed vaccination status.
• Visitors with symptoms such as colds, sore throats, coughs and shortness of breath will not be allowed to enter the park.
• Ensure a social distancing of one metres at all times.
• Wear a face mask at all times.
• Ensure the distance between groups of visitors within one to three metres.
• Ensure the distance between the activity location and other activities within three to five metres.
• The campsite must ensure a minimum distance of two metres with other tents, and overnight activities are not allowed.
