SHAH ALAM, April 20 — The Jualan Prihatin Rakyat which offers basic necessities at affordable prices will be continued at four locations this weekend.

The Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) said the programme on Saturday will run from 10am until 1pm in front of the PLB shop at Parit 1 in Sungai Sireh, Tanjong Karang, as well as the front yard of the Permatang state constituency service centre.

On Sunday at the same time the programme will operate at Kedai Anggerik Maju in Kampung Tanjung Siam, Kuala Selangor and the parking area next to Masjid Kota Raja in Klang.

“All residents in the area should not miss the opportunity to save as much,” PKPS said in a Facebook post today.

The programme is held weekly in 64 areas across Selangor to ease the burden of the people following the price hike of goods. The initiative will be held until the Hari Raya festival.

A total of 10,000 chickens, 3,100 kg of fresh meat, 6,200 kg of mackerels and sardines, and 315,000 grade B eggs are up for sale at the Jualan Prihatin Rakyat.

The programme offers chicken sales priced at RM12 per piece, fresh meat at RM35 per kg, eggs at RM10 per carton, and mackerels and sardines at RM8 per pack.
