SHAH ALAM, May 31 — Some 800 attendees celebrated the Hari Raya Aidilfitri banquet of His Highness the Raja Muda of Selangor, which took place earlier today.

Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj arrived at the event, held at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Auditorium Banquet Hall, at approximately 1.30pm.

Selangor FC chief executive officer Johan Kamal Hamidon said the event was jointly organized with the Selangor Football Association (FAS), the Selangor Raja Muda Foundation (YRMS) and the Selangor Youth Community (SAY).

“We invited all stakeholders, government agencies, the private sector, NGOs and supporters clubs who have worked with us over the years,” he said when met.

The event, which ran from 11am to 3pm, was enlivened with an MBSA combo performance that sang Aidilfitri songs.

Among the dishes prepared included lemang, rendang, cendol, nasi briyani, apam balik and kambing golek.

Meanwhile, the football club’s chairman Mohd Faizal Wahid said the event further strengthened His Highness’ relationship with all parties under the auspices of FAS.

“Alhamdulilah, as today is the last day of Syawal we celebrate it with the Raja Muda of Selangor,” he said.

Former Selangor player K. Sanbagamaran said he was touched to have been invited, adding that he was also pleased with being able to see many old acquaintances.

“After two years of not being able to celebrate due to the pandemic, today we can see friends. A very lively event,” he said.
