State set up hotlines to report flood emergencies

SHAH ALAM, May 25 — Selangor residents who face emergencies due to floods and are in need of immediate assistance are asked to contact the C5i Smart Selangor Operations Centre.

In a tweet today, Smart Selangor shares seven hotlines as well as Twitter links for the public to lodge reports or complaints for further action to be taken.

Among the Twitter links shared were those belonging to Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, local councils and the Selangor State Secretary’s office.

Continuous heavy rain since this morning has caused several locations around the federal capital to be flooded, including Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah from Jalan Ipoh.

Also affected are Jalan Imbi towards Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Ipoh/ Jalan Rahmat, Jalan Sultan Ismail/ Ampang and Jalan Kampar off Jalan Sentul.

Other locations are Bulatan Dato, Kampung Perik, Jalan Duta Mas, Jalan Ampang and Jalan Dang Wangi, while in Selangor the areas affected are Sekinchan and Puchong.
