Carnival to promote state’s new initiative to begin in Ampang on Sunday

SHAH ALAM, June 14 — The Iltizam Selangor Penyayang (ISP) carnival roadshow to promote the people’s welfare initiatives is set to take place at Padang MPAJ in Taman Kosas, Ampang, this Sunday (June 19).

According to Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI, the programme involving 23 state subsidiaries will open from 7.30am to 5pm.

It said among the agencies that will be promoting the state’s initiatives for the people are Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad and the Selangor Housing and Property Board will provide information on Rumah SelangorKu.

“To make the application process easier for the people, registration will be available for all state initiatives and programmes, such as the loan under Hijrah and assistance from Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor,” the agency said.

Apart from the main events, the carnival that will be officiated by the Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari will include a variety of activities such as aerobics, food competitions, flower arrangements, community sports, skateboarding, and e-sports.

The ISP initiative includes an RM350 million allocation to replace the Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat programme, which will benefit a greater number of individuals.

This includes the Bantuan Kehidupan Sejahtera Selangor (Bingkas), which replaces Kasih Ibu Smart Selangor (Kiss), and is expected to help 30,000 households from the initial allocation of 25,000 families.

The free health screening Selangor Saring programme, which has been running since May 22, will also be held at the carnival.

The roadshow is also scheduled to be held in Kuala Langat, Kuala Selangor, Petaling and Gombak.
