SHAH ALAM, June 11 — The Selangor Mega Job Fair organised by the state government will take place at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Convention Cente today and tomorrow.
The physically-held fair will commence at 9am until 5.30pm, with over 100 employers participating from various sectors who are offering 20,000 job opportunities.
Among the companies joining in the fair include Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor, Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd, DHL Express, DRB Hicom Berhad, Giant Malaysia and Malayan Banking Berhad
They also include Media Prima Digital, Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd (Proton), Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, Shopee Malaysia, Sport Direct MST Sdn Bhd and Toyota Auto Body Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
State executive councillor for young generation development Mohd Khairuddin Othman said the programme is being held to reduce the unemployment rate in Selangor, which now stands at 3.2 per cent, in the first quarter of 2022.
“This time it is being held on a larger scale after two years of being conducted in a hybrid manner due to the standard operating procedures of the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
