KAJANG, June 25 — Ten of the owners of the Rumah Idaman Abadi Kajang 2 in Semenyih has received the keys to their homes from Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, yesterday.

The handover ceremony was a symbolic occasion as the chosen buyers are among the 2,059 homeowners of Rumah Idaman, which is located in Persiaran Tropicana Heights, here.

“Congratulations to all the Rumah Idaman homeowners who have received their keys and we hope they enjoy their new homes.

“I also hope the Selangor Housing and Property Board (LPHS) will appropriately oversee the complementary or free units,” he said when delivering his speech during the handover ceremony, yesterday.

In exchange for the exemption from the amendment of Rumah Selangorku to Rumah Idaman, Amirudin had given 70 units of the affordable homes developed by Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB) to LPHS for free.

He said the first phase of the project developed by PNSB involving 1,355 units had completed in early June and had received the Certificate of Completion.

He added that the second phase of the project, which will have 704 units, is expected to complete in August and equipped with several amenities including a multipurpose hall, swimming pool, and playground.

Rumah Idaman, with a square footage of 999 square feet and a price tag of RM250,000, is located in strategic areas close to several facilities, including schools, hospitals, and road access.

Each unit offers two parking spaces, three bedrooms with air conditioning, two bathrooms with water heaters, a kitchen cabinet, a television, a refrigerator, and a built-in wardrobe.
