UPPS invites SPM graduates to join apprenticeship programme with Carsome Academy

SHAH ALAM, June 30 — The Selangor Workers’ Empowerment Unit (UPPS) has invited youths, especially Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2021 graduates to participate in the automotive mechanic and office management apprenticeship programme.

Its chief coordinator S Vijayan said the initiative in collaboration with Carsome Academy is limited to 70 participants and those who are eligible will receive various benefits under the programme.

“Participants in this programme will undergo intensive training for a year, with three months of theory learning and the rest as a practical course at a nearby (Carsome) branch, besides being awarded the Malaysian Skills Certificate Level 3.

“They have the opportunity to be fully placed at a branch of the largest integrated car e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia upon completion of training with a starting salary of RM2,000 and an allowance of RM300,” he told Selangorkini.

Registration for the apprenticeship and job placement programme can be made at the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) Dewan Mini Auditorium from tomorrow until July 2.

Eligibility requirements are as follows:

  • Males and females aged 18 to 25 years
  • Passed Form Three Assessment (PT3) examination and SPM
  • Able to read, write and count
