SHAH ALAM, July 1 — The affordable goods sale offering fresh daily necessities at low prices continues at the Selangor Penyayang roadshow in Stadium Utama Kuala Selangor, tomorrow.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the initiative has helped the people to buy goods cheaper than the current market price.

“This week, the Ehsan Intervention Programme will travel to the Stadium Utama Kuala Selangor in conjunction with the Selangor Penyayang roadshow.

“The state will sell fresh daily necessities at prices lower than the market to the local residents,” he said on Facebook.

The programme organised by the Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) in collaboration with Agro Selangor sells chicken at RM10 per 800 grammes or RM25 for two kilogrammes (kg), whole chicken (RM15) and Grade B chicken eggs at RM12 per tray.

Fesh beef and bone are also sold at RM33 per kg, as well as mackerel and selayang fish at RM8 per kg.

On May 19, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the Ehsan Food Prices Intervention Programme has managed to benefit up to 60,000 families since its implementation in December last year in over 50 locations throughout the state.

The Jualan Prihatin Rakyat initiative is aimed at reducing the burden of the people as well as providing them with the opportunity to purchase enough fresh foods like chicken, fish, beef, fruits and vegetables.
