Plan to strengthen economy, people’s welfare to be tabled on July 25

SHAH ALAM, July 19 — The First Selangor Plan (RS-1) that was developed to fulfil the people’s needs in the next five years will be tabled during the Selangor State Legislative Assembly on July 25.

Centred on the people’s socio-economic needs, the state government has taken into account economic growth, improvement of wellbeing as well as social inclusion.

Also emphasised in RS-1 is the drive for sustainability to conserve the environment alongside smart and effective governance by engaging with stakeholders as well as the public.

“The documentation for RS-1 has been done in a comprehensive and inclusive manner, it is a living document which can address new challenges,” said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari on July 7.

The plan involves four primary phases namely vision, framework and target alignment while the secondary phase will include diagnosis details and content development.

The third phase will involve the detailing and prioritisation of the programme, and the fourth phase involves validation sessions and finalisation of the report.
