Frequent field trips to prepare many incentives for residents define MB’s work

GOMBAK, Nov 1 — Residents of the area described the state government under Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari as having provided numerous initiatives for the people.

Newspaper and plastic goods trader Loh Yuen Feng, 62, from Taman Sri Gombak, said the state administration has helped many traders.

“The Menteri Besar is doing his work well. The state government has helped a lot, and business people are also helped. If he can compete here, he will be able to serve better,” she said in an interview on October 26, shortly before Amirudin was announced as the Pakatan Harapan candidate in Gombak for the upcoming 15th general election.

“If he runs for parliament, he can help many more residents,” said Loh, who lives in Taman Pinggiran, Batu Caves.

Trader Kamal Mohd Yusof, 45, encouraged voters to retain the existing state government leadership, so more programmes for the people can be held.

“For me, he (Amirudin) is okay, no problems whatsoever. If we want something good, we (should) keep the current government,” said Gombak Setia voter.

Trader Jamil Karim, 63, said Amirudin frequently carries out field visits including visits to suraus to meet residents, and asked the Menteri Besar’s subordinates to emulate their leader.

“The MB goes down to the ground, to the prayer surau there. He helps the people and is doing alright, like with affordable chicken. But he ought to direct his subordinates to be more active in helping villagers,” he said.
