Harapan’s Sepang candidate to champion women’s plights, children left behind in education

By Siti Rohaizah Zainal

SEPANG, Nov 10 — Pakatan Harapan (Harapan) candidate for Sepang parliamentary seat Aiman Athirah Sabu is ready to defend the plight of women who are victims of domestic violence and children who are left behind in education.

These are some of Aiman’s objectives as a political candidate and her efforts will be detailed further if she is given the trust and mandate by the people in the 15th general election (GE15) on November 19.

“Only women understand the need of other women and if (it is) not me (to fight), who else? I will publicise initiatives for women who are victims of domestic violence and find it difficult to get help.

“And do not forget, there are poor children whose studies were disrupted due to their inability to pay school fees,” she said after a walkabout in several locations, here yesterday.

In an eight-corner fight, Aiman Athirah will be contesting the Sepang seat, which was won by Harapan since 2013, and against former Women’s Development Minister Datuk Seri Rina Harun from Perikatan Nasional.
