SHAH ALAM, Nov 23 — The state government will continue monitoring the current situation of the high tide phenomenon in Klang, which started yesterday and will last until Sunday (November 27).

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Aminudin Shari said the state government is prepared for any possibilities.

The Klang District Disaster Management Committee (JPBD) has issued a notice of a high tide phenomenon beginning from November 22 until 27.

“The state government will continue monitoring the current situation and is ready for any possibilities,” he said on Twitter, today.

On November 21, the committee in a notice advised Klang folks to be wary of the high tide phenomenon that would potentially cause floods and break river bunds.

The committee also informed that the Klang Disaster Operating Room is open from November 22 until November 27.

The public can lodge reports in case of a disaster by calling the emergency line via Whatsapp to the Klang District and Land Office (24 hours) at 010-869 1067.
