Hijrah offers loans, business development opportunities to entrepreneurs from other states — MB

By Norrasyidah Arshad

SHAH ALAM, Jan 3 — The Hijrah Selangor Foundation (Hijrah) offers loan assistance to entrepreneurs from other states who have business premises bordering Selangor, said Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari.

He said the initiative starting this year is a continuous step to help entrepreneurs in addition to the desire to make Selangor business-friendly.

“This year, financing conditions have been relaxed to include borrowers who have premises bordering Selangor such as Negeri Sembilan, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Perak,” he said in a Facebook post today.

Amirudin said Hijrah, which started with i-Business Scheme, Zero to Hero Scheme, Go Digital Scheme and Darul Ehsan Business Financing Scheme (Nadi) is constantly being improved to help entrepreneurs progress further.

“Currently, it has expanded to include the i-Lestari Scheme, i-Agro Scheme, i-Seasonal Scheme and the most recent, i-Social Scheme. Hopefully these initiatives would bring a good and positive impact to the citizens of the state.

“Throughout its establishment, Hijrah has helped a total of 55,834 entrepreneurs involving an expenditure of RM710 million. The assistance includes capital to start a business up to expanding the enterprise,” he said.

The 2023 Selangor Budget presented by Amirudin on November 25 last year has allocated RM130 million to enable Hijrah to improve the schemes and help with the development of entrepreneurs.
