SHAH ALAM, Jan 30 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has reiterated his invitation to the public to participate in the engagement session for the redevelopment project of the Shah Alam Sports Complex (KSSA), which includes the state stadium.

The session will take place at the SACC Mall shopping centre from January 26 to February 10.

“The public is invited to join in by providing feedback and suggestions at SACC Mall in Shah Alam, until February 10,” he said in a Facebook post earlier today.

Amirudin also shared a video for the public’s convenience in obtaining an accurate picture of the 76.08-hectare project’s development, which is expected to cost an estimated RM787 million.

It showcases KSSA’s community-based development, sustainability, and entrepreneurship, as well as its connectivity to light rail transit (LRT) stations, bus transit hubs, covered walkways, and pedestrian access.

The redeveloped stadium is also expected to be able to accommodate between 35,000 to 45,000 seats at maximum capacity, and will also be furnished with electronic scoreboards, disabled-friendly concourses, and corporate spaces.

The modern court will be equipped with dressing rooms and seat cooling systems, alongside the ability to transform into sports mode and for indoor events.

On January 5, the Menteri Besar said KSSA’s redevelopment, which will be carried out via a public-private partnership with Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad, is slated to commence in the first quarter of 2023.
