Over 600 residents participate in Sweat It Out programme to promote healthy lifestyle

SHAH ALAM, March 6 — Over 600 residents around Bandar Kinrara participated in the Sweat It Out programme at Taman Rekreasi Wawasan, Subang Jaya, yesterday morning.

The programme was in conjunction with International Women’s Day which will be celebrated on March 8 and was officiated by state executive councillor for local government and new village development Ng Sze Han.

He, who is also Kinrara’s state assemblyman, said the programme was in collaboration with non-governmental organisation (NGO) Sayangi Kinrara and Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MBSJ).

“We, together with NGO Sayangi Kinrara and MBSJ are working together to gather more than 600 people in Kinrara to exercise according to their respective groups at this spacious Taman Rekreasi Wawasan.

“This is to promote a healthy lifestyle. We need more programmes like this so that people can reduce stress and live happier lives,” he said in a statement.

Also present were Puchong MP Yeo Bee Yin and MBSJ Councillor Zone 16 George Yap.

Among the activities carried out include Zumba, woodball, health check-ups and mental health questionnaires, in addition to the registration counter for Socso and the Darul Ehsan Water Scheme programme.
