King, Queen break fast with Penang govt leaders

GEORGE TOWN, April 6 — The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today broke fast with state government leaders at Seri Mutiara, the official residence of the Yang Dipertua Negeri of Penang, earlier today.

The Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, together with their children Tengku Arif Bendahara Tengku Muhammad Iskandar Ri’ayatuddin Shah, Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah and Tengku Puteri Jihan Azizah Athiyatullah, were also in attendance.

Yang Dipertua Negeri of Penang Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak and his wife Toh Puan Khadijah Mohd Nor, Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow and his wife Tan Lean Kee were on hand to receive Their Majesties.

The ceremony began with Their Majesties holding an audience and the presentation of souvenirs.

Their Majesties then participated in a photo session with the state executive council members, before proceeding to the breaking of the fast ceremony and performing the congregational Maghrib prayers.

The King and Queen are on a visit to Penang from today until Saturday (April 8).
