KDEBWM fetes nearly 2,000 guests at Aidilfitri open house

SHAH ALAM, May 11 — Over 1,800 visitors were treated to a sumptuous repast at KDEB Waste Management (KDEBWM) Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house, at the Shah Alam Convention Center (SACC) earlier today.

Its managing director Datuk Ramli Tahir said the guests included state assemblymen, city mayors, municipal council presidents, stakeholders, and agencies, including KDEBWM staff and sub-contractors.

Running from 12pm to 4pm, he said the open house was an opportunity to strengthen bonds of fellowship and celebrate the month of Syawal.

“Alhamdulillah, we are most thankful to everybody who could make it to the event and celebrate with us, particularly those involved in Selangor’s cleaning and solid waste management industry,” he told SelangorKini.

The guests who were seen at the open house include Tanjung Sepat state assemblyman Borhan Aman Shah, Seri Setia state assemblyman Halimey Abu Bakar, Sekinchan state assemblyman Ng Suee Lim, Meru state assemblyman Fakhrulrazi Mokthar, and Morib state assemblyman Hasnul Baharuddin.

They were treated to a wide variety of dishes including nasi beriani, lemang, rendang, sate, kek lobak goreng, grilled lamb, apam balik, and various kuih-muih.

The singer and artist Zur Eda also performed for the pleasure of the guests.
