Malaysia Aviation Group launches multicurrency e-wallet, Visa prepaid card

KUALA LUMPUR, June 19 — Enrich, the travel and lifestyle loyalty programme of Malaysia Airlines, has unveiled EnrichMoney, a multicurrency e-wallet and Visa prepaid card.

Malaysia Aviation Group chief executive officer of loyalty and travel solutions Phillip See said the company has designed EnrichMoney with the needs of travellers in mind, making multicurrency its hero feature.

“The new feature is offering the earning of EnrichMoney Points for travel and everyday spending with cashback rewards, giving more value to its members,” he said in a statement in conjunction with the launch of EnrichMoney here today.

According to the statement, the card allows cardholders to buy world currencies, spend to earn EnrichMoney Points and redeem the points for cashback.

EnrichMoney, powered by Merchantrade, functions as a travel companion and is accepted by over 430,000 Visa merchants in Malaysia and 80 million Visa merchant locations worldwide.

“These features give cardholders access to priority services and exclusive benefits when travelling on Malaysia Airlines and Oneworld partner airlines.

“EnrichMoney also serves as a perfect travel solution for those travelling, whether for business, leisure or students living abroad, as it provides them with a reliable and convenient personal budgeting tool and financial platform on the go,” See added.

Until July 31 2023, EnrichMoney cardholders also have an opportunity to fast-track their Elite status when they perform a top-up.

Meanwhile, cardholders who top up 40,000 points will be entitled to an Enrich Silver status, while those who top up 80,000 points will be accorded Enrich Gold status.
