PM Anwar wishes RMAF happy 65th anniversary

KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today wishes a happy 65th anniversary to the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) personnel.

In his social media post, he also expressed deep appreciation to all RMAF personnel for their commitment to protecting the country’s sovereignty and security.

“Your services and sacrifices are highly appreciated by all Malaysians,” Anwar said.

The air force in the Malaysian Armed Forces was established on June 2, 1958, and was known as the Royal Federal Air Force at the time.

The RMAF’s anniversary is celebrated on June 1 each year.

This year’s celebration is themed Kuasa Udara, Perisai Kedaulatan Negara (Air Power, Shielding the Country’s Sovereignty).
