AMPANG JAYA, July 1 – Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has stressed that Pakatan Harapan should be given the opportunity to continue administering the state so that the goals outlined in the First Selangor Plan (RS-1) could be fulfilled.

Amirudin said the RS-1 serves as a comprehensive framework for the state’s development over the next five years, featuring various initiatives aimed at improving the well-being and empowering the people of Selangor.

“The upcoming state election fuels our determination and commitment to continue the state government’s planned initiatives, including the fulfilment of several objectives within the RS-1.

“Throughout our governance, the state government has effectively addressed and resolved numerous challenges, establishing Selangor as the leading contributor to the country’s economy,” said Amirudin during the Ziarah Korban Aidiladha programme held at Kampung Pasir, Hulu Kelang, here today.

Amirudin, who is also the Gombak MP, elaborated on the concerted efforts of both the state and federal governments to revitalize the economy and uplift the livelihoods of the people.

“By the end of this month or early August, the Prime Minister or the Minister of Economy will unveil a comprehensive economic plan. In the meantime, the government is implementing various recovery measures, including addressing the shortage of essential supplies like chicken and eggs.

“Following that, the government will focus on tackling price controls to alleviate the burden on the people. Over the next five to six months, we anticipate that things will get better,” he said.

On June 23, the 14th Selangor state assembly was officially dissolved, paving the way for the forthcoming state election.

Selangor is among the six states set to go to the polls, alongside Negeri Sembilan, Pulau Pinang, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu.
