SHAH ALAM, July 22 — Rain, thunderstorms and strong winds have been forecast in Putrajaya and five Selangor districts until 3pm today.
In a Facebook post, the Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said the five districts are Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat and Sepang.
Similar weather is expected in Perlis, Negeri Sembilan and Melaka, as well as Langkawi in Kedah, Bentong in Pahang and several Johor districts.
MetMalaysia issues the warning when there are signs of thunderstorms with rainfall more than 20mm per hour for nearly or more than an hour.
A thunderstorm warning is a short-term alert that lasts six hours per issue.
