Monitor issues, latest status on Auditor General’s Report via AGD system

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 22 — The National Audit Department (JAN) has developed the Auditor General’s Dashboard (AGD) system to enable government departments and the public to monitor issues as well as the status of the latest actions on issues reported in the Auditor-General’s Report (LKAN).

The AGD system, in line with the principles of transparency and good governance, allows the public and stakeholders to see the latest status of the LKAN issue and the actions taken by the departments and ministries involved.

All parties can access the system to know the status of action for LKAN issues in real-time. Each issue is categorised according to three colours; red (no feedback or feedback does not answer the issue raised), yellow (in action), and green (action has been taken).

The system also displays the amount of leakage that occurs in the expenditure of public funds.

According to the data displayed in the system as of September 30, issues (2.4 per cent) out of 3,922 issues are still in action, while the rest have been successfully resolved involving the LKAN from 2015 to 2021.

According to LKAN, the AGD system successfully helps Federal government ministries/departments/agencies to channel information quickly and swiftly about actions being/have been taken by updating feedback online.

“This proves the government’s commitment and concern in explaining the latest position of LKAN issues as well as the actions taken to inform all relevant stakeholders and the public as a whole.

“Since 2012, the LKAN issues’ action status has been displayed via the AGD system. This online display is a trigger to speed up the resolution of audit issues raised in LKAN by Federal government ministries/departments/agencies.

“It can improve the performance of governance in public sector delivery as a whole,” according to the report.

The system can be accessed at https://agdashboard.audit.gov.my/.
