Over 100 media practitioners participate in DBKL Media Walk Hunt 2023

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 — More than 100 local media practitioners from various agencies participated in the Media Walk Hunt 2023 organised by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), here today.

In its statement, DBKL said the ninth edition event is part of its efforts to appreciate the contribution of media practitioners in disseminating news about the city hall to the residents of Kuala Lumpur.

There were 54 teams in the three-kilometre route which covered Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, and Jalan Raja Laut among other roads, who were required to answer 25 questions on the names of buildings, shops, and signboards along the way.

In the same statement, Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Kamarulzaman Mat Salleh expressed his appreciation to the media practitioners who diligently covered, promoted, and published the programmes implemented by DBKL.

“It is my greatest hope that this close relationship between the media and DBKL can be further strengthened so that the city folk can obtain the latest updates on DBKL’s initiatives,” he said.

The team from the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) represented by Mohd Fazli Rashidi and Azhar Marzuki bagged the first prize and walked away with RM1,500 worth of shopping vouchers.
