Batu Tiga rep seeks to introduce annual education grant

By Sofia Nasir

SHAH ALAM, Dec 29 — Batu Tiga state assemblyman Danial Al-Rashid Haron is set to introduce an annual education grant starting next year for all educational institutions in the state constituency.

The proposal aims to focus on educational development and foster good relationships with schools, and he hopes the students themselves will prepare the working paper on the grant application.

“I hope the working paper can be presented by the students themselves to give them early exposure and also to strengthen the relationship between the youths and the state representative,” he told SelangorKini yesterday.

Danial also promised to monitor the development of all ongoing projects, as well as those which will be implemented in the future, particularly flood mitigation projects.

He added implementing the Shah Alam International Logistics Hub (SAILH) development project in Section 16 is expected to provide job opportunities for local residents.

“So far, we have met with all the implementing agencies, and we will ensure every project being undertaken and those planned will be completed successfully,” Danial said.

In July, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said SAILH will be situated on a 28.73-hectare site, with a RM2 billion investment value.

It is expected to create 5,000 new job opportunities by 2028, with the first phase expected to be completed in 2025.
