SHAH ALAM, Jan 12 — Book lovers in Bangi and its surrounding areas have much to cheer about with the reopening of the Hulu Langat District Public Library today.

The Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS) said the reopening comes after the completion of upgrade works to the library, which also underwent a facelift to attract more visitors.

“This new library offers a more spacious and comfortable environment for visitors. Various facilities are provided, including information technology corners and a space for children.

“It also has a fun, interactive children’s reading corner, an adult reading corner, WiFi, a nursing room, restrooms, and prayer rooms, among other things,” it said in a Facebook post.

The library is open daily from 9am to 6pm, except on public holidays. Those who wish to obtain further information can call 03-89267566.

Last year, PPAS director Datin Paduka Mastura Muhamad said 73 of the 104 state public libraries have completed upgrading works and a rebranding process.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari had previously said Selangor aims to turn libraries in the state into knowledge hubs with various facilities to support the state’s development agenda.
