DBKL organises 11 programmes to celebrate Federal Territory Day

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 31 — The Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has lined up 11 programmes from October last year until July 14 this year, in conjunction with the Federal Territory Day tomorrow.

It said the programmes included the 1 Suara @ 50 WP, from October until the end of February; Teaterikal Gemuruh (February 23 to February 25); Prosperity Walk and Chinese New Year Celebration (February 24); Cycling Marathon @GFNY Kuala Lumpur (February 25) and Carnival 50WP 2024 (July 13 to July 14).

DBKL has also decorated the main roads in the city, including Jalan Raja Laut, Jalan Raja, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, and Jalan Sultan Ismail with 3,000 Federal Territory flags.

1,550 Federal Territory flags have also been put up on street lamps around the city and a letter has also been issued to premises owners to jointly enliven the celebration by flying the Federal Territory and Kuala Lumpur flags on their buildings.

“May the 2024 Federal Territory Day be celebrated joyfully by all city dwellers,” it said in a statement today.

“Enliven this meaningful day by flying the Federal Territory flag on your premises,” DBKL added.
