SHAH ALAM, April 21 — Some 5,000 residents came in droves for the Kota Anggerik state constituency’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House at Dewan Raja Muda Musa of the Youth and Culture Complex today.

Its state assemblyman Najwan Halimi said the event was organised in collaboration with the Kota Anggerik community service centre, Yayasan Hijrah Selangor, the Selangor Drug Prevention Association (Pemadam), and the Selangor Sports Council (MSN).

“This event fosters unity and strengthens community bonds. Various delicious dishes were served,” he told SelangorKini.

Najwan also spent time warmly interacting with guests and distributing ‘duit raya’ to children.

The Royal Ordnance Unplugged street music group performed renditions of Aidilfitri songs to entertain the guests.

Also in attendance were State Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Mohd Kamri Kamaruddin, Selangor Islamic Religious Council chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof, and Hijrah Selangor Chief Executive Officer Datuk Mearia Hamzah.
