KUALA SELANGOR – KDEB Waste Management Sdn Bhd (KDEWM) is ready to offer solid waste management services in the Klang Valley or other states if required.
Managing Director, Ramli Mohd Tahir said although the company is owned by the Selangor Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI), it is not a barrier for him to expand its operations.
“If there are other states that are interested in how we work, methods or technologies are that we apply, we are certainly ready to help.
“KDEBWM is always ready and will take full responsibility if given the opportunity to establish a partnership,” he said.
He said this at the Coach Truck Delivery Ceremony for domestic waste collection at the Kuala Selangor District Council (MDKS), here today.
KDEWM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MBI appointed by the State Government as a ‘Project Management Company’ to manage solid waste in Selangor.
Now, the company is increasingly recognizing the people of Selangor especially and Malaysia is generally on the capability and success of managing domestic garbage collection as well as public cleansing since July 2016.
Starting with the pilot project at the Klang Municipal Council, it was successful, now its operations are being expanded at 11 local authorities (PBTs) and are expected to take over all 12 local authorities.
