Amir Hamzah resigns as TNB CEO, accepts new appointment by MOF

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 10 — Tenaga Nasional Bhd today announced that its chief executive officer Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan has resigned as chief executive officer (CEO) after accepting a new Minister of Finance appointment.

Meanwhile, Datuk Ir Baharin Din will replace Amir Hamzah as CEO effective March 1.

Baharin has been a chief distribution network officer since 2018 and has served at the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water (KeTTHA) as deputy director for the Electrical Inspectorate Department in Sabah.

Meanwhile, in a statement, the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) announced Amir Hamzah’s appointment as its new CEO effective March 1.
