Selangor to hold series of free community screenings starting tomorrow

SHAH ALAM, Feb 16 — The Selangor government will be holding a series of Covid-19 community screening programme in several localities in the state starting with densely populated areas such as Shah Alam and Klang.

In a statement today, the press secretary to the Selangor Menteri Besar said the first series of the screening operation will begin tomorrow.

The programme will start from 9am to 4pm and will be carried out for free.

“The public are urged to register online at screening.selangkah.my to ensure the smooth operations of the initiative.

“Screening operations in other localities will be held in the following series and will be informed from time to time,” the statement read, adding that the initiative is part of the state administration’s move to complement the Federal government’s efforts in battling the Covid-19 outbreak.

Details of the first series of the community screening operation are as follow:

  1. February 17 (Wednesday) — Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) community hall (Dewan MBSA), Section 19, Shah Alam
  2. February 18 (Thursday) — Pandamaran Jaya multipurpose hall, Kampung Sijangkang, Port Klang

The public, especially the local residents, are encouraged to take part in the screening operation.
